Job Description: Basic Qualifications: Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of work experience or equivalent such as Associate's and 12 years or Master's and 5 years Contractors performing ISSO functions shall possess and maintain or obtain within six months from their arrival date, professional Information Security (IS) certification(s) appropriate for the level of duty and responsibility Responsibilities include, but are not limited too: Develops, maintains, and implements information security standards, procedures, and guidelines for applications and databases. Performs assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. Ensures that systems and organizational databases are protected from unauthorized access and use. Monitors systems, identifies threats, and handles disaster recovery operations. Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports for obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. Assists in the implementation of required government policy (e.g.,, NISPOM, DCID 6/3), and makes recommendations on process tailoring. Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and recommends additional security requirements and safeguards where required. Supports the formal Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports. Conducts a review of each system’s audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed. Contributes to and may lead the planning and implementation of large programs in the function, and regularly interfaces with senior management and executive leadership. Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with conducting research and analysis, network and information system security principles and best practices, and controlling, labeling, virus scanning, and transferring data between information systems at varying classification levels Ability to apply knowledge and experience with standard information system security concepts, practices, and procedures according to IC and DoD policies, procedures and operating instructions Development and maintenance of all SSP documentation and risk analysis Responsible reporting of security related incidents including development of protective or corrective measures to discover vulnerabilities Experience with configuration management, system maintenance, and integration testing Supports comprehensive investigations into all related data spills and IT incidents at both government and contractor sites. Provides guidance on system security, assessment and authorization issues, and INFOSEC policy and security vulnerabilities. Experience with malicious code prevention/negation tools and forensics chain of custody and evidentiary preservation Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
